SMS Messaging Policy
solaerp sends work-related text messages — like schedule alerts, shift reminders, and confirmation requests — to staff on behalf of their employer, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
Last updated June 5, 2026
In short
solaerp is a staff-scheduling tool used by businesses to coordinate their employees' work. As part of that coordination, solaerp sends transactional, scheduling-related text messages (SMS) to staff on behalf of the employing business — for example, alerts when a new schedule is published, shift reminders, and requests to confirm a shift. These messages are sent through Twilio, our SMS provider.
- Messages are work-related and tied to your schedule — they are not marketing or promotional, and solaerp never sends advertising texts.
- You receive them because your employer added you to solaerp and you provided your mobile number for work coordination.
- Message frequency is recurring and varies based on your work schedule and shift activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out of SMS, or reply HELP for help.
- For support, contact support@solaerp.com.
About this messaging program
solaerp is a self-hosted, multi-tenant staff-scheduling product for small service businesses, used first by dental practices and expanding to salons, restaurants, and retail. When a business (the "Customer") uses solaerp to schedule its staff, solaerp can deliver scheduling notifications by both email and SMS text message.
All text messages sent through solaerp are transactional and scheduling-related. They are sent to staff members on behalf of the employing business so that the business and its employees can coordinate shifts, confirmations, and time-sensitive coverage. solaerp does not send promotional or marketing text messages and does not use SMS for advertising of any kind.
The business that uses solaerp controls its own employees' personal data, including the decision to enable SMS notifications. solaerp processes that data and delivers messages on the business's behalf and on its instructions. The text messages described here come from your employer's use of solaerp, not from a standalone marketing program.
Types of messages you may receive
Depending on how your employer has set up solaerp and on your work schedule, you may receive any of the following kinds of transactional, scheduling-related text messages:
- Schedule-published notifications — an alert when a new or updated schedule that includes you is published.
- Shift reminders — reminders ahead of an upcoming shift.
- Shift-confirmation requests (two-way) — a message asking you to confirm a shift, to which you reply to confirm.
- Open-shift offers and claims — notice of an open shift you can pick up, and confirmation when a shift is offered to or claimed by you.
- Time-sensitive coverage and call-out alerts — urgent requests when coverage is needed or a co-worker has called out.
- Credential and license reminders — for staff whose roles require credentials, reminders that a credential or license is approaching its expiry date.
Sample messages
Your actual messages will vary based on your employer, your role, and your schedule. Here are realistic examples of what a message may look like:
- "[solaerp] New schedule published for next week. You're on Tue 8:00a-4:00p. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
- "[solaerp] Please confirm your shift Thu 9:00a-1:00p (Chair 2). Reply YES to confirm. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
How consent (opt-in) works
You receive text messages from solaerp because you are an employee or staff member of a business that uses solaerp to manage its schedules. When your employer adds you to solaerp, you provide your mobile phone number to your employer and opt in to scheduling messages through your employer, for the purpose of coordinating your work.
Because your employer is the party that adds you and manages your record, opt-in and your information are handled through your employing business. If you have questions about why you were enrolled, start with your manager or employer. As an employee, you typically exercise your data rights — such as access, correction, and deletion — through your employing business, which controls your personal data.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency is recurring and varies based on your work schedule and shift activity. For example, you may receive more messages during weeks with schedule changes, open shifts, or call-outs, and fewer messages during quiet periods.
Message and data rates may apply. solaerp and Solaerp LLC do not charge you to receive these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you according to your plan.
How to opt out (STOP)
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from solaerp.
- When you reply STOP, you are unsubscribed and solaerp will stop sending you SMS notifications.
- You may receive one final message confirming that you have been opted out.
- Opting out of SMS does not remove you from your employer's schedule and does not change your job — it only stops the text messages.
How to get help (HELP)
For help with these messages, reply HELP to any message you receive. You will receive a reply with information about the messaging program and how to get support.
You can also contact support at support@solaerp.com. For questions about your specific schedule or why you are receiving messages, contact your employer or manager directly.
Carriers and delivery
solaerp supports text messaging on the major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, as well as many regional and smaller carriers. Availability can vary by carrier and plan.
Messaging provider and privacy
solaerp sends and receives text messages through Twilio, a third-party telecommunications provider that serves as our SMS provider. To deliver your messages, your mobile number and message content are transmitted through Twilio.
solaerp keeps message content and delivery-status logs as part of providing the scheduling service. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS / HTTPS) and is stored on the operator's own servers located in the United States. For full details on how message data and other personal data are handled, retained, and protected, see our Privacy Policy.
